Ukraine can "boast" one of the most inefficient power systems in the world. The number of officials in the country for 25 years of independence has increased almost six-fold – from 60 thousand to 350 thousand. The state machine is overloaded with excessive number of officials at various levels. From 10% to 15% of the expenditure of state and local budgets are spent on maintenance of the bureaucratic apparatus. It is 50 to 70 billion hryvnias annually! Now let's ask ourselves whether the performance of the officials corresponds to that level of expenditures?
The number of officials and budget allocations for their maintenance
DOES THE PERFORMANCE OF THE AUTHORITIES CORRESPOND TO THE LEVEL OF PUBLIC EXPENDITURES ON IT?
Citizens should remember that any government is the temporary management. We choose it to implement that vision of the future of our country or territory which meets our interests.
THE AUTHORITIES ARE THE HIRED MANAGERS, AND WE ARE THEIR EMPLOYERS
The Opendata.ua aims to collect information on the work of local authorities in all regions of the country. We draw up a register of communal property of all communities in Ukraine. What for? – So that each resident of a territory has the opportunity to receive free information on how local authorities dispose of our property and gains from using it come to the local budget. We believe that only transparent work of officials can ensure the quality of this work.
